(Ann Geertruy Theunis, w. of Christian).He was born in the village of Wolferlingen, about six miles northeast of Coblenz, in the Palatinate on the banks of the Rhine. He and his wife are buried on the old Christian Myers farm at Churchland, town of Saugerties, NY. In 1710 he married Ann Geertrury Theunyes, born 15 May 1690, died 9 Jan 1766. They arrived in New York on 24 June 1710, remaining with Gov. Robert Hunter during the summer and then going to West Camp, Ulster Co., NY. On 24 Feb 1724 he purchased a farm near Churchland, NY. He erected a mill of Muddah Kill. He was named as one of the freeholders of Kingston in 1738 and was an elder of the Kaatsbaan Church. His will, executed 15 March 1773, named his sons Willem, Johannis, Benjamin, Petrus, and Tobias, and children of his son, Christian, deceased, and heirs of his daughters, Marytje, Christina and Catrina (deceased), and his daughter Geertje, and liberated and provided for his old slave, Cuff.
