Edward was a graduate of St. Xavier High School, Louisville, Kentucky. and the University of Louisville Speed Engineering School. He also earned a Masters from Boston College, Boston, in Business Administration, and a Doctorate degree in Economics from Florida Institute of Technology. He was an Army veteran of World War ll in Belgium and Luzon, Philippines. He was married to Doris Mae Bishop and preceded her in death. Doris died in 2017. She was survived by two sons, Edward George LeBre and Gregory James LeBre, Greg's wife, Cynthia, and four grandchildren, Erin, Jaclyn, Allegra and Keagan.
