On 6/24/1912 in Lampasas he married Ada Belle (Moore), a teacher and resident of Lampasas, daughter of Alma (Oliver) and Thomas Batsell Moore. Martin and Ada resided in San Antonio where their son Forrest was born, then moved to Fort Worth where their other children were born. Martin was V.P. of The Fort Worth National Bank until retirement.
