Sister Floreda Meitl
CONCORDIA — Sister Floreda Meitl (Clara Eve), 73, Concordia, died Wednesday, April 16, at the Nazareth Motherhouse, Concordia. She was born at Leoville and entered the Sisters of St. Joseph at Concordia in 1932. For 51 years, she served as a homemaker on missions in New Mexico, Texas, Nebraska, Michigan and Kansas. She was also a former housekeeper at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina, and was a homemaker for the sisters of the cathedral parish in Salina.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the Motherhouse Chapel, the Rev. Stephen Letourneau officiating.
Burial will be in the sisters cemetery. A bible vigil was conducted Thursday night at the Motherhouse Chapel.
The Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, is in charge.
