KENTON - Mrs. Anna Bechtel Hafer, 85, Forest, died at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday at the Best Rest Home in Kenton. She had been seriously ill for four weeks.
She was born at Patterson, Nov. 13, 1871, and was married to Charles W. Hafer on October 25, 1917. He died in 1930.
Surviving are three brothers, William R. Bechtel, Cygnet; John D., Forest, and Frank A., North Baltimore; and three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Mitchell, Columbus; Mrs. Madge Anderson, Williamsport, and Mrs. Mary Shane, Youngstown.
Mrs. Hafer was a member of the Blanchard River Church of Christ and a 50-year member of the Pythian Sisters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Shields Funeral Home in Forest with Rev. Garner Reams officiating. Burial will be in Patterson Cemetery.
