Mr Kepner was born June 16, 1948 in Oswego, KS. His parents were Carl and Violet (Spunaugle) Kepner. He had lived in Oswego for the past 15 years, moving from Chetopa, KS where he had lived most of his life.
He worked at various jobs including welding, railroad switchman, and was also self-employed in the demolition trade.
His wife, Pearl A Kepner passed away in 2010. He was also preceded in death by one son, Michael Kepner and two sisters, Leyeta Daniels and Coleen Daniels.
Surviving is one son, Tim Kepner, Oswego, KS; one daughter, Melissa Frank, Reeds, MO; two sisters, Leota Lucas, Miami, OK, and Bonnie Howard, Urich, MO; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Kepner has been taken for cremation under the care of Derfelt Funeral Home, Oswego, KS. A aprivate family memorial service will be held at a later date.
