Lorraine Mary (Kremer) Butz, 83, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. She was born in Schuylkill Haven on Wednesday, September 5, 1928 to the late Harry W. and Bessie S. (Holetcz) Kremer. She was predeceased by her loving husband Robert W. Butz, Sr. in 2001.
She was a member of St. Thomas United Church of Christ in Harrisburg, Senior Center of Schuylkill Haven, and 8th Air Force Historical 92nd Bomb Group. She was a faithful volunteer with a giving and serving heart, and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by eight grandchildren, Robert W., III, Lucas R., James A., Christina M., Sharon L., Daniel R., Jeffrey A., and Rebecca A. Hart; eight great grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Sandra and Theresa; one sister, Emma G. Suggs; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sons, Robert W., Jr. in 1983, James A. in 2000, and Geoffrey N. in 2010.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 31st at 11 AM at Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, DiMatteo Worship Center, 1200 Grubb Road, Palmyra, PA 17078 with The Rev. Dr. Donald C. Wetzel and Chaplain Dr. Norman D. Yeater officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10 AM until time of the service. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville. Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
