John, a native of El Paso, Texas and reident of Mansfield, Texas, was killed in an automobile accident under icy road conditions east of Melrose near Clovis, New Mexico. He was predeceased by his father John Roland Kiline Sr.; his wife Aminta Kline and mother Bess Love Kline, who were also killed in the same accident with him.

John was survived by sister Debbie Fryar (husband Ronnie) of Ft. Belvoir, Virginia; brother David Kline (wife Karen) of Mesa, Arizona; son George Nieto of El Paso, Texas; daughter Michelle Cuevas of Mansfield, Texas; and three grandchildren: Brandon M. Urey, Hailey Rockford and Kylee Rockford.

John moved to Clovis as a child and attended Clovis schools. He served in the U.S. Army and was currently a Human Resources Manager for AFFES. John was a member of The Grand Lodge of Mississippi, F & AM. He loved building model planes and cars and was a great provider and great husband.

Memorial services were on December 23, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. John's cremains were interred in Santa Fe National Cemetery.
