Mrs. Howse, a resident of Houston and Pearson Chapel, died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 5, 1897 in Houston County and had been a resident of Houston since 1947.
She was a housewife and a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jasper Herbert Howse of Houston; a son, Roy Howse of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Smith of Houston and Mrs. Mollie Russell of San Antonio.
Also, a brother, Jim H. Bartee of Pearson Chapel; a sister, Mrs. Nettie Arnold of Crockett; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
