Donna Wynona Taylor was born March 22, 1915 in Brigham City, Utah. She was the second of eight children born to Roscoe J. Anderson and Diantha J. Robbins. Donna was raised in Ogden, attending school there and went to work early in life to help her family through the Great Depression by working at Scowcroft's Dept. Store and Mountain States Telephone. In 1937 she married Vernon Young Taylor, the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1951.

Donna, Vernon and their family moved from Ogden, Utah to Bakersfield, California in 1950 when Vernon took a position with the accounting firm of Ricks and Taylor.

Donna raised her family in Bakersfield and was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She held many position of responsibility including Ward Relief Society President, Counselor in a Ward Young Women's Presidency, Stake Relief Society Presidency Secretary and other teaching and administrative positions. She was an avid genealogist and held many positions in the Stake Genealogy Library. She served for years as a consultant and name extractor.

She was a talented artist and took great joy in creating paintings and other art objects. She loved to work with her hands and beautify her home. Most of her family members adorn their homes with her work.

She is remembered by all as a gracious, talented, lady. She had many years of ill health but bore it with a cheerful disposition and was kind and patient to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, her son, Vernon Young II, and two sisters, June Favero and Betty Rhees. She survived by her living children, Kristine Richards, Val Taylor, and Rebecca Hunt all of Bakersfield; two brothers, Dale Anderson and John Anderson of Salt Lake City, Utah and three sisters, Sharon Belnap of Ogden, Utah, Annie Nay of Roy, Utah and Shirley Swenson of Phoenix, Arizona. She leaves nine grandchildren whom she adored, Tom Richards, Kandra Richards, Merrie Richards, Carol Richards, Kelley Taylor, Shane Taylor, Seth Taylor, Aaron Hunt and Nicole Hunt, and many other beloved family members and friends.

She passed away in Bakersfield, California on October 17, 1993. Her services will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 1993 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5600 Panorama Drive in Bakersfield. Viewing Tuesday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
