Funeral services for Mrs. Dolores Michel will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marksville with Father Rusty Rabalais officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery #1 in Marksville.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville. Mrs. Michel, age 81, of Marksville, passed away at Grace Home in Shreveport on Saturday, May 26, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Paul Pocket" "Michel, 2 sons, Michael Michel & Peter Michel.
For many years, she worked with the City of Marksville.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Clara & husband Danny Casey of Shreveport, Mary Anne & husband Michael Ducote of Marksville, 1 sister, Carol Sue & husband Darrell White of Monticello, Ark., 4 Grandchildren, Nathan Ducote, Sarah Dupont, Crystal Michel, Lauren Michel & 1 Great Grandchild, Peyton Dupont.
Visitation will begin Monday, May 28, 2012 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. & will resume on Tuesday at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until shortly before time of services at the Church. The rosary recital will be 6:30 p.m. Monday evening
