5 DEC 1941
Squire James W. Benderman, 74, widely known Scotts Mill farmer and one of the oldest members of the Maury County Court in point of service, died in the St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville last Saturday after six weeks illness. He was married to Miss Georgia Fleming in 1892. He was a member of the Methodist Church and a mason. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Grace Pulliam and Miss Frances Benderman of Mt. Pleasant; six sons, Urban and Owen Benderman of Cleveland, Ohio; John O. Benderman of Dallas, Texas; and Carl, Guy and Mack Benderman of Mt. Pleasant; a brother, J. R. Benderman of Mt. Pleasant; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. W. O.
