Last surving child of the late Joel Shepherd and Ella Catherine Wood Woodford, she the widow of John Aubrey Spradlin. She was survived by four children, Carolyn Roakes, Sandra Spradlin, Jill Alouf and Ronald Spradlin; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and an extended family of relatives and friends. She was a member of Ephesus United Methodist Church. She was employed with Rubatex Corporation for over 20 years. Her funeral was held on May 25, 2012, with The Rev. Donnie G. Glass officiating.
