Funeral services for James Madison Harrison, 80, a retired merchant, who died Sunday afternoon, April 3 at Rawlings Sanitarium after a lengthy illness were held at the home in Oconee Tuesday, April 5 at 3:30. The Rev. Wyman Hodges officiated and was assisted by the Rev. L. A. Cunningham. Survivors are his wife, one sister, Mrs. J. J. Hattaway, two brothers, J. J. Harrison of Scott and E.J. Harrison of Tennille, a number of nieces and nephews. Pall bearers were C. Owen Tompkins, G. W. Smith, Sr., T. A. Curry, Billy Garrett, Roy Powell, and Felton Johnson. Interment was in the Antioch Christian Church cemetery with M&M Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
