Funeral services for Grady Hauesler of Cordele will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 28, 2012 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery in Crisp County. The family will greet friends Sunday afternoon from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Hauesler, 76, died Friday at Crisp Regional Hospital. Born in Crisp County, he was the son of the late Jack and Rosie Line Helms Hauesler. He was a farmer and an active member of New Hope Baptist Church where he served on the board of deacons. He was the oldest volunteer for the Crisp County Fire Rescue. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Ray Hauesler; his children and their spouses, Perry and Mary Hauesler of Cordele, Rose and Dennis Phillips of Hawkinsville, John and Jamie Hauesler of Cordele and Marvin and Bonnie Hauesler of Vienna; a sister, Grace Hauesler of Arabi; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Thomas and her husband, Richard, Christopher Phillips, Alicia Hauesler, Dakota Hauesler, John Collis Hauesler, Zach Musselwhite and Blair Musselwhite; and one great-grandson, Jackson Thomas. He was preceded in death by siblings, E.C. Hauesler, Lloyd Hauesler, Jack Wesley Hauesler and Nannie Mae Cross. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
