Darlene J. Arndt, age 76, of Dodgeville, died on Monday, May 21, 2012 at her home, following a brief battle with cancer. Darlene was born on March 10, 1936 in Linden to Clyde and Ethel (Willday) Hodge. She married Harold Arndt in Mineral Point on November 21, 1953. The couple lived in Dodgeville most of their married life. Harold preceded her death on August 9, 2000. Darlene's family was her pride and joy and she was happiest when she had a house full of children and grandchildren.
Darlene is survived by 9 Daughters; June (Jerryell) Cannon of Riverview, FL; Debbie (Dennis) Miller of Lone Rock; Gale Shackelford of Dodgeville; Julie (Gary) Miller of Dodgeville; Cindy (John) Polkinghorn of Mineral Point; Tammy Hall of Dodgeville; Patti (Brett) Crook of Dodgeville; Joette (Jon) Runkle of Dodgeville; Darlene (Jim) Wagner of Dodgeville; one son, Harold Arndt Jr. (Jane Lettman) of Dodgeville; 32 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a brother, Clyde (Carolyn) Hodge of Dodgeville; a sister, Marie Welborn of Linden as wells as nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Gloria Ann Miller; a great granddaughter, Lucy Polkinghorn and a brother, Willard Hodge and his wife, Babe.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home, Dodgeville. Pastor Rom Pegram will officiate with burial in East Side Cemetery in Dodgeville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and on Friday after 10:00 A.M.
