The service honoring Joan's life will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery near Manson. The visitation is Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.
She was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Naomi June and Molly Joan and her parents.
Joan Crane, the daughter of John and Catherina (Hall) Crane, was born December 14, 1939 in Liverpool, England. She attended school in England and moved to the United States in the 1950s. Joan worked as a seamstress at Hollywood Style, Charles A. Brown and also 5th Ave. Tailor which she operated out of her home. Joan was employed with the Webster County Sheriff's Department and for ten years with Fort Dodge Community Schools as an associate on the special needs bus. On November 15, 1992, Joan was united in marriage to Charles 'Chuck' Collmann in Fort Dodge.
Joan was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church. She loved attending auctions and was an avid shopper and collector.
