Son of "Gust" Olson and Mary Najemnik, born and raised in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He joined the US Navy ( net laying ship in the South Pacific) in 1942, and met his future wife Anna Jean McFarland at a USO party in Los Angeles. They were married in 1945. Harry joined Douglas Aircraft, working there until retirement. Harry and Ann had two children, daughter still living and son Thomas Eric Olson who died at age 3 (1955)(buried at Grandview Cemetery in Glendale, California). Dad loved fishing...especially surf casting.
