Helen Florence Scrabeck, 74, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, formerly of Harmony, MN, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2006 at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital, Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Harmony, MN. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the Lindstrom Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery in Harmony, MN.
Helen was born on July 31, 1932 in Freemont Township, Winneshiek County, IA the daughter of Thomas F. And Della Agnes (Baker) Mathews. She married Merlin Melver and they had two children. They later divorced. On October 26, 1951, she united in marriage to Robert Lee Scrabeck in Harmony, MN. They had seven children, Linda, Sandra, David, Carl Francis, Mary and Shirley. Helen was a homemaker all of her life, living in Preston, MN and Canton, MN areas most of her life. Her favorite pastimes were taking care of her children, reading, writing, and taking care of her favorite cat Tippy.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 1973 and father in 1959, her husband Robert in 1997 and one daughter Linda in 1999.
