upon our Joseph's grave
he sleeps and we cannot wake him
though we tried so hard to save
twas hard to part from the
one we loved
but God above knew best;
and the thougt (sic) that fills
our aching hearts
is to know that he's at rest.
His original headstone is a very small square stone with barely legible initials J.A.B. and is in the same plot as the large oblisk tombstone.
