Judy Marlene Carter, 49, Rt. 1, Stella, died at 10:30 a.m. March 9, 1994, at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, after a long illness.

Mrs. Carter was born March 30, 1944 at Bloomington, Ill., and moved to Stella in 1988 from Granby.

She was a member of Mount Zion church at Anderson and the Ozark Fox Hunters Association.

She married Denny Carter on March 27, 1992, at Miami, Okla. He survives.

Additional survivors include a son, Bradford Dale Branham, Granby, a daughter, Tracy Janell Branham, of the home, her mother, Betty Colleen Ames, Hurley, a brother, William Ames, Hurley, three half brothers, Richard Ames, Mount Vernon, Robert Ames, Washburn, Ill., and James Ames, McCord Bend, eight sisters, Kathy Chastain, Diana Ames and Della Johnson, all of Crane, Linda Martin, Ozark, Ruth Eslick, Buffalo, Marie Ames, Marionville, Beni Seaton, Billings and Carol Tillisch,Dayton, Ohio, two half sisters, Dorothy Wilms, Juneau, Ark., and Shirley Baker, Peoria, Ill, a grandson and two stepgrandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ozark Funeral Home, Anderson, with Rev. Randy Davis, officiating.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Stella. Pallbearers will be Wesley Coleman, David Carter, John Benningfield, Matt Taylor, Don Harrel, Billy Samson and Ernie Carter
