Icy Renfro, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Moses Renfro, was born in Wayne Co., Ill., July 4, 1865. She was only three weeks old when her mother passed away. She grew to young womanhood in the family home, and on August 11, 1885, in Missouri, she was united in marriage with William W. George. There were seven children born to this union: Ezra, Frank, Minnie, Cecil, Everett, Leatis, and Flossie. The home was made at different times in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, and Iowa.
She was a member of the United Brethren church in Prarie Hall, Ill. for some time. In 1932 she placed her membership in the Church of Christ in Lake City, where she has been a faithful attendant to her church program. She was glad to help whenever it was possible. She constantly had her church, her pastor, her loved ones and others on her prayer list.
Mr. George passed away Aug. 9, 1925. After his death his wife lived for awhile in Moorland, then she came to Lake City where she lived about four years with Miss Fannie Wick.
Sept. 8, 1935, she was united in marriage to Mr. F. M. Lee of Lake City, and this was her home until her death.
Mrs. Lee was stricken with pneunomia early Monday morning, Jan 3rd, and passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 6, age 72 years, six months and two days.
