Nellie M. Ridge, Who Resided in G. V., Dies at 73
Mrs. Nellie Moore Ridge, widow of the late John R. Ridge, who was a son of California’s early-pioneer-day poets and renowned as a member of the early literary circle of the state, died last Sunday, November 13th at her home at San Anselmo.
Burial was made on the following Tuesday, November 15 at Tamalpais cemetery after a requiem mass at St. Anselma’s Church.
Mrs. Ridge was quite well known in Grass Valley from a previous residence. She was a native of Auburn, Placer county and was 73 years of age. Deceased was the mother of Helen Frances Ridge, who visits in Grass Valley frequently and George Ridge von Planck.
