Hattie Simpson, 87, of Winterset, passed away February 4, 1990 at the Bethesda Care Center.

She was born in Union County on Dec. 9, 1902, the daughter of George and Tabithia (Conard) Cornelison. She was married to Earl Simpson and spent all her married life in Madison County.

Mrs. Simpson is survived by a daughter, Betty Files of Rogers, Ark.; a brother, Wayne Cornelison of Lorimor; a sister, Louella Armstrong of Des Moines; and a grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and a sister.
