A.C. "Chet" Denning, 91, of Gladstone, Mo., passed May 22, 2012. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, at White Chapel Funeral Home in Gladstone. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, with burial being held at Lathrop Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Crossroads Hospice. Chet's career started out as a Civilian Flight instructor in the Army Air Corps in WWII at Victory Field in Vernon, Texas. Afterwards he started as a pilot at TWA in 1944, while also serving as a training center flight instructor and check pilot. He retired as an international 747 captain. His hobbies included restoration of antique cars, and membership in VCCA. Survivors include his wife, Kathy of the home, sons, Larry Denning and wife Janie of Liberty, Mo., and Ron Denning and wife Mary Anne of Kansas City, Mo.; five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
