She was born Dec. 5, 1905, at Marble Hill, the daughter of Charles and Byrtie Miller Adams. She married Lewis Ward Hunter, who died Sept. 11, 1992.
She attended Central Methodist College at Fayette, and received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield.
She was a teacher at Bel Nor School in Normandy and later taught at Blodgett Elementary School. She was a member of the Black Mask Dramatic Club, Delta Delta Delta sorority and Business and Professional Women's Club in St. Louis.
Survivors include nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be held Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. Burial will be in the Old Morley Cemetery at Morley.
