Virginia M. "Ginny" Kinyon 86, of Creston, died Friday April 28, 2006 at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston.

Virginia May Kinyon was born July 11, 1919 to Lucy L. (Edwards) and Lloyd Currier Peckham in Adair County. She graduated from Nevinville High School in 1937. On January 18, 1938 she was united in marriage to John Kinyon in Creston and to this union three children were born. She was a homemaker, moving about the state with John and his work as a road construction worker. She enjoyed her home, family, gardening, sewing and her coffee friends. Virginia was a member of the Lorimor American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include one daughter: Phyllis (husband Mick) Pottorff of Hatfield, Mo.; one son Paul Kinyon of Cromwell; her brother Johnny (wife Dee) Peckham of Macksburg; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and two step great-great grandchildren; one aunt Mary Steward of Red Oak and many nieces, nephews and many special friends including Loretta, Connie, Ann and Suzie. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John in 1989; one son James William (Butch) in 1969, three sisters and brother in-laws: Phoebe and John Gaides, Jean and Harold Eivins and Adoline and Orlo Wallace.
