OBITUARY - Mrs. Irene F. Wissinger, Tribune-Democrat, 30 Aug 1976
Mrs. Irene F. Wissinger, 82, of Cherry Tree, died Sunday, Aug 29, 1976 at Miners Hospital, Spangler. A daughter of the late Albert and Rebecca Buterbaugh Pittman, she was born March 6, 1894 at Commodore RD 1. Mrs. Wissinger was a l ife-long resident of the Cherry Tree area. Surviving are two children: Floyd, Cherry Tree; Mrs. Donald (Katherine) Wagner, Clearwater, Fla.; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Edna Adams, Hollidaysburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles on July 22, 1959,a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Curry and three brothers and four sisters. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. today and 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Melvin C. Gwin Funeral Hone, Cherry Tree, where services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Fred Sargeant, pastor of Zion Bible Church, Stifflertown, officiating. Interment will be in the Uniontown United Methodist Cemetery, Cherry Tree RD 2.
