Dorothy L. Bame, 87 of Williamstown died at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at her residence. She was born in North Baltimore, OH on December 18, 1924, to the late Russel and Pearl (Winkle) Franks. Dorothy married Robert F. Bame and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2002. She is survived by four grandsons, the sons of William and Mary Bame; William Wesley (Donna) Bame of Wellston, OH., Jonathon (Stephanie) Bame of Findlay, OH., Dave (Robin) Bame of Dunkirk, OH., Bob (Lori) Bame of Dola, OH., seventeen great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, a dear friend and adopted granddaughter, Sarah (Todd) Stump of Williamstown, sister-in-law Ruby Essinger of Arlington and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother Carl Franks and granddaughter-in-law Heather Bame. Dorothy retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company after 35 years. She was a member of Bethel Church of Christ, Ada and also attended Williamstown Brethren Church. She loved to fish and spent many winters in Florida. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2012 at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington with Pastor Harrison Underwood and Brandon Mayden officiating. Burial will follow in Williamstown Cemetery.
