Son of J.R. & Ethel Washburn Brookhart.
He was united in marriage to Vera Welker on August 4, 1950 at her mother's home in rural Williamstown. She survives.
Also surviving are their children, Gary Brookhart and his wife, Ann, Mariann Bullerd and her husband, John and John H. Brookhart and his wife, Carol; four brothers, Glenn R. Brookhart, Everett J. Brookhart, Eldon L. Brookhart and W. Ralph Brookhart; one sister, Leona Waller; one aunt, Mamie McCoy; one uncle, Denny Washbur; 7 grandchildren, Carole, Christina, Charlotte and Coleen Bullerd and Leah, Jacob and Joshua Brookhart; a host of friends and other relatives.
Otis accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the South Wyaconda Baptist Church.
He served in World War II from 1942-45 on the European theater and was a retired farmer. He farmed in Warren and McDonough counties in Illinois and later in Clark County, Missouri. He was a charter member of the Clark Co. Farm Bureau.
He will be remembered as a loving husband and father.
Burial in the Ballard Cemetery.
