On Sunday, January 17, 1965, HATTIE E. PHILLIPS of 10616 Parkwood dr., Kensington, Md., beloved wife of the late Murray D. Phillips; mother of Mrs. Helen Oldfield, Mrs. Belvia Clark, Levi Phillips, Mrs. Alwine Dacatur, Alvin Phillips, Mrs. Lucille White, Mrs. Bessie McDermott, Mrs. Hannah Buzzone, and Chester Phillips, and stepmother of Mrs. Della Egloff. Twenty-six grandchildren, 43 grand-children, and one great-grandchild also survive. Friends are invited to call on Tuesday and Wednesday between the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Funeral Home of Robert A. Pumphrey, Bethesda, Md., where services will be held on Thursday, January 21, at 11 a.m. Interment in National Memorial Park.
