The Lord met our friend, Loretta Marie Gabrilska at the Gates of Heaven a day early to celebrate her 81st birthday.

She was the eldest child of Charles H. and Ethel (Handrich) Regel born on May 19, 1931 at the old Berlin Hospital. She was a life long member of Emmaus Evangelical Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod of Poy Sippi, WI. She was baptized into Christ on June 14, 1931 by Reverend George Pape and confirmed into communicant membership in May 1944 by Reverend W.J. Baese. She continued to profess her faith at Emmaus until the time of her death.

She served in many leadership roles in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League including President of the South Wisconsin District; held all society offices and was president and vice president of the zone. She was the current zone treasurer. She was the Emmaus Financial Secretary for six years and Recording Secretary for nine years. She sang in the church choir for 40 plus years. She was the Funeral Luncheon Coordinator, Easter Breakfast and Holiday Chair for years and served on the 100th Anniversary Committee of Emmaus.

She enjoyed the opportunity to work with the youth of Waushara County by being the Superintendent of the Waushara County Fair Youth Expo Building from 1964 through August of 2011. She was honored as the Friend of 4H in 1997.

She was the Secretary/Treasurer of the Tri County Women's Bowling Association for 14 years and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1996. She received the Wisconsin Women's Bowling Writers top award on two separate occasions.

Loretta worked at the local "Dodge Dealer", Johnson-Fortnum, Inc. in Berlin for 30 years. After Loretta's retirement she worked in the Pencil Department for 8 years at Miles Kimball Company in Oshkosh. Most recently she enjoyed volunteering at the Second Time Around Shop in Berlin and also volunteered at Camp LuWiSiMo in Wild Rose.

Loretta's greatest joys were those times spent with her son Jeffry (Deborah) of Pine River and their children, Joshua (Amber) Gabrilska of Redgranite, Jacob Gabrilska and Rebeccah Gabrilska, both of Pine River. She is further survived by an aunt and uncle, Wilfred Handrich (Shirley) of Berlin, numerous cousins, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert and Edward and her son's father, Ralph Gabrilska.

A funeral service was held at the Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod in Poy Sippi, WI on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, with the Pastor Mark R. Meier, Sr., officiating.

Interment was in the Brushville Cemetery, Twp. of Bloomfield, Waushara County, WI.

We'll all miss Loretta. She was a very neat individual!

I for one won't forget her.
