June G.'Junie' Bell 78 years old of Oklahoma City passed away November 11, 2004 in Oklahoma City. Born December 5, 1925 in Oklahoma City and preceded in death by her former husband Harry A. Bell, parents Josephine and Clarence Giddens, her brothers Elbert and Johnny Giddens. She is survived by her three children, Larry Bell and wife Diane of Oklahoma City, John Bell and wife Janet of Hinsdale, Illinois and Cindy Bell Ellis of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by five grandsons, Seth Ellis of Suwon South Korea and Justin Bell and wife, Megan, Jackson Bell and wife, Sarah, Lance Bell and wife, Paige and Blake Bell all of Oklahoma City. June graduated from Classen High school in 1943 where she was active in the pep club and journalism. She was a PTA President, an active WW II Girl Reserve volunteer, member of JR. Hospitality, Northwest Optimist Club and Red Cross volunteer. One of her greatest contributions included helping to establish The Mayfair Center, a local senior citizens community center. June was a licensed Oklahoma Real Estate Broker and completed numerous real estate and banking courses. She owned and operated June Bell Agency and worked for Union Bank. She also started one of the first apartment locating services in Oklahoma City. Her business career included co-owner of Bell Ornamental Iron Company and the once famous 'Uptown Club' formally located on North Walker Avenue, which was often frequented by state legislatures. Junie was a devoted Mom who enjoyed dancing and playing the piano. She had a great sense of humor, contagious smile and only saw the positive side of life. She was a very creative and warm hearted person who loved to write poems and be with her family, especially all five grandsons. June was a successful businesswoman, devoted wife and mother. She blessed this world by her presence and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, a charitable contribution be made in her memory to The Mayfair Center located at 3200 North West 48th Street, Okla. City, Ok 73112. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, November 15th at 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
