Herlinda "Linda" Aboytes

Herlinda "Linda" Felix Aboytes, 75, resident of Green Valley, AZ., and former longtime resident of Castroville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in Tucson, AZ., surrounded by loving family. She was born January 18, 1937, in Sonora, Mexico.

Linda's interests were reading and cooking. She worked for more than 30 years in agriculture, and had experienced over 20 years of retirement. She was married to her late husband, Jorge Aboytes. They resided in Castroville and the Salinas area for more than 45 years, where they raised their family.

She is survived by her sons, Javier and Martin Aboytes; brothers, Francisco Trinidad, Heriberto, Raymundo, Marcos Arturo, and Emiglio; grandchildren, Janthony, Amy, Jessica, and Priscilla; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jorge Aboytes.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 1 to 9 p.m., with a Rosary Recital at 7 p.m., all at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, CA 93905.

Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, 22 Preston St., Castroville, CA 95012.

Burial to follow services at the Castroville District Cemetery, 8442 Moss Landing Road, Moss Landing, CA 95039.
