Ernest E. Ploof, 67, died Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA, following a lengthy battle with diabetes.
Mr. Ploof was born on March 2, 1944, in Burlington, VT, a son of the late Edward and Mary (Johnson) Ploof. He had been a longtime resident of Nashua.
Mr. Ploof had worked as a laborer for the City of Nashua Public Works for 25 years.
He enjoyed fishing. He also enjoyed collecting treasures and antiques, and loved having yard sales.
Survivors include his one daughter and son-in-law, Mariette and Michael Aubut of Merrimack; two grandchildren, Mitchell and Maleena Aubut, both of Merrimack; a sister; several nieces and nephews; and many local friends.
SERVICES: There are no visiting hours. A Memorial service in his honor will be held at the DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, One Lock St., Nashua on Friday afternoon at 2:00 PM. Interment prayers and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The DAVIS FUNERAL HOME in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.
