She was born Jan. 24, 1923 in Sheridan, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Pagano) Gizzi.
Angela was a graduate of Silver Creek High School, Class of 1940. She held finance jobs for businesses in Youngstown, Ohio and Silver Creek, NY. This included time spent owning and doing bookkeeping at Park Cleaners. She finished her career as Director of Admissions at Lake Shore Hospital (TLC Health Network) after 20 years of ser-vice.
She thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with her husband Anthony. They were married in 1942 and both enjoyed raising a family, traveling to Germany and Italy, and attending Anthony's Army reunions.
Some of her hobbies included reading books, shopping and having lunch with her cousins. She enjoyed spending time planting and tending to her flower garden. Some photographs of her flower garden are on display at TLC Health Network. She also enjoyed quality time with her family and friends.
Survivors include a son, Richard Saletta and his wife Anita (Tabak) of Silver Creek; a grandson, Michael Saletta; a grand-daughter, Jennifer (Jamie Jaffray) Saletta; a great-granddaughter, Mandelina Jaffray and Cody Beckert; a brother, Cedio (Cossie) Gizzi of Westfield, NY; and a sister, Pauline Sesnie of Dunkirk. Many nieces, nephews and one aunt also survive.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Anthony Saletta; a son, Anthony; and a brother, Vincent Gizzi.
