Quebeck, TN resident and Davidson County, TN native Turner Golden Binkley, Sr., age 77, was born February 28, 1935 and died May 22, 2012 at his residence following a sudden illness.

He was the son of the late Turney and Esther Golden Binkley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Sue Larkin.

He was married January 16, 1960 to Louise Dodson Binkley of Quebeck, TN. In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by three children, Turner (Amanda) Binkley, Jr., Chris (Cassandra) Binkley and Cheryl (Shane) McGuire all of Bone Cave, TN; five grandchildren, Turner Binkley, III, Jared Binkley and Kellsea, Kenlyn and Mattie McGuire; two brothers, Paul (Sarah) Binkley and Elmo Binkley both of Goodlettsville, TN; two sisters, Barbara Jones of Joelton, TN and Paulette (Charles) Spencer of Goodlettsville, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Golden graduated from Joelton High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. After his service he attended Austin Peay State University and received a BA in Industrial Education in 1969. He received his MA in Agriculture from Tennessee State University in 1975. After he married, he and his wife lived in Goodlettsville, TN before relocating to the farm in Quebeck, TN in 1989.

Golden was an Agriculture teacher until he retired in 1998, and was passionate about making a difference in the lives of his students. He taught in Metro Nashville public schools for 25 years and taught for 9 years at Van Buren County High.

He was an Elder at Ivy Point Church of Christ in Goodlettsville, TN and later became an Elder at Spencer Church of Christ after moving. He loved his grandchildren, farming and eating out on Friday nights.
