BOBBY LOWELL BRITTON
June 7, 1946 ~ December 31, 1999

Bobby Lowell Britton, 53, of Idabel, passed away Friday, Dec 31, 1999 at Poteau after a short illness. He was born in 1946 to Bill and Lucille Britton.

Bobby grew up in Idabel and attended Idabel public schools. He was of the Holiness faith. He was a carpenter and cement finisher, and for a while performed duty as a city police officer for Fort Towson. He loved to fish and do arts and crafts.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Britton, in 1991; and by his brother, Stanley, on Dec 1, 1999.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs Lucille Nix Britton of Idabel; two daughters, Bobby Lea and Lacy Brook Britton, both of Shady Point, Okla.; one sister and brother-in-law Vickie and Tim Robbins of Idabel, one brother Donald Britton, Idabel, one stepdaughter Jaime, of Shady Point, one stepson, Toby, of Shady Point and a host of friends.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday Jan 4, at Rock Hill Cemetery, Holly Creek community with the Rev. James Cockerham officiating assisted by the Rev. Dick Perkins.

The family will assemble at the home of Tim and Vickie Robbins, Cisco area, at noon Tues for procession to the service.

Family visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday Jan 3 at Jim Norwood Funeral Service, Idabel.
