Alfred M. 'Slim' Banks

Alfred M. "Slim" Banks, of Sapulpa, died Monday, May 17, 2004 at St. Francis Hospital at the age of 67.

Mr. Banks was born Aug. 27, 1936 in Kellyville and had lived in this area most all of his life.

He was married to Geraldine Shelley on Dec. 7, 1955 in Colorado. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, member of the Sapulpa Holiness Church, member of the Kellyville Round Up Club and an honorary member of the Sapulpa FFA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Conley and Lou Ella Sloan Banks; brothers Ed Banks and Charley Banks; sisters Geneva McCanns, Loretta Steel and Ava Driscoll; and granddaughter Ashley Sawyer.

Funeral services for Mr. Banks have been set for 2 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2004 in the Sapulpa Holiness Church with Bill Rich and Randy Perry officiating.

Interment will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
