Funeral services for Opal Stansell Sapp, 92, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Cullman, Dr. Edwin Hayes officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church prior to services.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sapp died Sunday, May 20, at Decatur Health and Rehab. She was born Jan. 4, 1920, to John and Lottie Lee Brown Stansell. She was a retired district court clerk.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Sapp Sr.; and a grandson, Jason Brooks.
Survivors include two sons, Robert A. (Debbie) Sapp Jr. and John Mark Sapp; two daughters, Jane (John) Marcinowski and June (Len) Brooks; six grandsons, Lee (Marcy) Brooks, Brad (Courtney) Brooks, Josh (Erin) Brooks, Robert (Elizabeth) Sapp III, Michael (Emily) Sapp and Matthew Sapp; two granddaughters, Harmony Beale and Emily Sapp; a great-grandson, Brody Brooks; and a great-granddaughter, Charlotte Katherine Sapp.
Visitation was from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday.
