GREENWICH, Conn., Aug. 15 [1947] (AP)--Mrs. Anna Embury Russell, widow of the Rev. J. Townsend Russell, who was canon of the National Cathedral in Washington from 1916 until his death in 1929, died today at her home here. She was 88 years old. She leaves a son, J. Townsend Russell, of Greenwich, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Russell was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry K. Sheldon of Brooklyn. Her late husband and she donated property for the site of the National Cathedral.
