Mr. Rowe was born in german township, July 24, 1890, the son of Frederick and Lydia (Cripe) Rowe. He was a farmer and had lived near Bremen his entire life. He was married April 15, 1913, at North Liberty to Celia Thomas, who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Johnsonbaugh of Goshen, Mrs. Kenneth Jacks of South Bend, Mrs. Gene Oberleas of Bremen, and Mrs. Frank Thomas of Syracuse; one son, Carel Rowe of Argos; one sister, Mrs. Malinda Tasher of Tucson, Arizona; and one brother, Samuel Rowe of North Liberty. There are six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Friends may call at the Huff Funeral Home after noon today until Saturday noon when the body will be taken to the Bremen Church fo the Brethren for funeral services at 2:00 pm. Mr. Rowe was a member of the church. Rev. C. C. Cripe will officiate in the services and burial will be in the Bremen cemetery.
