Lucille A. Burton, age 83 of Nashville, passed away on May 18, 2012. Mrs. Burton was born to Joe Alfred and Ozie Satterfield Andrews on August 29, 1928 and grew up in Robertson County County, TN. She married Earl Burton at the age of 16 and began raising her family of five children. She spent most of her life working in the home but she also worked as a nurse's aide at University Nursing Home. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook and loved to clean. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 48 years and sweetheart forever, Earl; son, David Burton; granddaughter, Michelle Gambrell. She is survived by her sons, Donnie and Terry (Marny) Burton; daughters, Shirley (Dennis) McCrary and Sandy (Michael) Sellers; daughter-in-law, Betty Burton; grandchildren, Denise (Brad) Sloan, Beth Burton, Shaun Jones, Aimee Dyer and Taylor Burton; great-grandchildren, Braden and Hayden Sloan, Alysa and Savannah Jones, Annabelle Dyer and honorary sons, Ronnie Ballentine and Neal Johnson. A celebration of Mrs. Burton's life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2012 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Kirby officiating. Interment will follow in the Eulia Cemetery in Westmoreland, TN with Jerry Burton, Wayne Dixon, Ronnie Warrick, Randall McCubbins, Ronnie Ballentine and Neal Johnson will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
