She was born April 27, 1892, at Stewart, Neb., to William and Ella (Mott) Gilson. She was married to Sam Coen in Bassett, Neb., on December 17, 1910. They moved to Node, in 1913 because of her husband's job, he was section foreman for 45 years. They moved to Lusk in 1929.

Mrs. Coen was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy of Lusk. She enjoyed the life as a preacher's wife, writing letters to her loved ones and friends, reading the Bible and enjoying many scrapbooks she had made over the years.

Mrs. Coen attributed her longevity to her strong faith in the Lord.

Survivors include one son, Gorman Coen of San Jose, Cal., many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.

Memorials to either the Niobrara County Nursing Home or the Niobrara Senior Center or donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Bader Funeral Home of Lusk is in charge of arrangements.
