Helen M. Frogge, 89, of Port Orchard died of natural causes Sept. 1, 2001, at her home. She was born Dec. 12, 1911, in Drake, N.D., to Ted and Barbara Volk. She was a waitress in Bremerton for 30 years. She enjoyed horse racing and the outdoors. She attended St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard. Survivors include one daughter, Grace Steiner of Port Orchard; two stepsons, Michael of Shelton and Robert of Port Orchard; three sisters, Barbara of Montana, Kathryn Grensteiner of Michigan and Regarda Flowers of Oregon; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Robert Frogge, preceded her in death in 1976. A reception will be at 2 p.m. today at Lewis Funeral Chapel
