GASTONIA - Betty Seagle, 79, passed away Sept. 15, 2010, at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia.

She was born Oct. 15, 1930, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Joseph Constantine Williams and Ethel Russell Williams.

Betty was a member of Charity Baptist Church, Gastonia.

A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Sam Robbins and the Rev. Fred Stanford.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont.

She is survived by: son, Marshall Sutton; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Kenneth Blankenship; sister, Virginia Hodge; grandchildren, Christy King, Tracy Stanford; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Emma Stanford, Piper King.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: husband, Jack Seagle.

Arrangements are with Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia.
