Son of actor Dwight Frye. Worked primarily on the stage, including a small role in the 1965 Broadway musical "Man of La Mancha". In his only full length feature appearance, he had a small role, playing an injured boy on a train, in the film, "The Man Who Found Himself" (1937). John Beal, Joan Fontaine and his father, Dwight Frye, were the stars.

Appeared in several documentaries concerning his father's horror film career and was a frequent guest at horror conventions.

Collaborated with the authors of the book, "Dwight Frye's Last Laugh" (1997).

On November 7th, 1943, after attending a double feature of "A Lady Takes a Chance" and "Sherlock Holmes Faces Death" He witnessed his father having a massive heart attack on a Los Angeles bus.
