Rex Davis, 81, of Amarillo died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. MST Monday in Portales Church of God, 1437 E. Amazon St., in Portales. A noon luncheon at the church will preceded the service. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Mr. Davis was born and raised in Clovis, N.M., and graduated from Clovis High School. He married Linda Turner Brown on Feb. 19, 1968. She passed away in 2010. Mr. Davis worked at C.B.S. Auto Salvage for many years. He moved to Amarillo in June 2010 and loved to work and being a PaPa to his grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a stepson, Peter Brown in 2009.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Porter and husband Alex of Amarillo; his son, Raymond Davis and wife Maggie of Hayward, Calif.; a brother, Jimmie Davis and wife Linda of Grand Junction, Colo.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 10 foster grandchildren; and four foster great-grandchildren.
