Brian Lynn Bailey, age 49, a resident of the Marlow Community in Anderson County, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
Brian was born May 16, 1963 in Oak Ridge. He was a lifelong resident of this area. Brian was employed in the construction business as a builder and he enjoyed outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur "AC" Bailey and Nell Leffew Bailey and by a niece, Monica Bailey.
Brian is survived by his companion and her children, Maggie Nolan of Marlow, by children; Mitchell Muncey and wife Cathy of Oakdale, Rachel Bailey Weir of Oliver Springs, Brian Lee "BB" Bailey and companion, Kristen of Clinton and Tyler Lynn Bailey of Jackson County, KY, by grandchildren; Brianna Lee Bailey, Leah and Shelby Weir, William Croft Muncey, Bellamy Croft and Riana Croft.
He is also survived by a sister, Ramona Ramsey and husband, Chris of Powell, by brothers; Richard Bailey and wife, Angela of Oak Ridge, Ernie Bailey and wife, Diane of Marlow, several cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of special friends, including John Wheeler, Scott Cambron and Terry Baker.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 21, 2012, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm, at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Garvan Walls officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at 12:00 noon, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
