Richard Clough Anderson III (1829-78)(Kenyon 18__)(Cincin. Law 18__) was an attorney and member of the Kentucky legislature, 1861-62, 1864. In 1866, he moved to Dayton, Oh. He married in 1855, Agnes Norval Thompson (1835-95), daughter of Robert Coleman (1801-72) and Sarah Wrigglesworth Thompson (1806-), of Eddyville, Ky. Their five children were Kate L. (1856-1948), Sallie (1857-1926), Richard Clough, IV (1858-1934, William T. Pope (1871-72), and John Stettinius Anderson (1876-1945). Richard Clough Anderson IV (1858-1934) lived in Woodstock, N.Y. and married in 1892, Jessie Struthers (1867-1942), a widow. Their children were Agnes Norval (1893-), William Pope (d.inf.), and John Stettinius Anderson II (1896-1945), of Dayton.

According to the Miami University Alumni Catalog from information provided by Anna Size (47878472), Richard Anderson (d.1878) was a student at Miami University, 1845-48, a manufacturer of agricultural implements in Dayton, Oh, and a member of Alpha Delta Phi.
